The Pomsky, also referred to as the Arctic Spitz, is a cross between a purebred Husky and Pomeranian. With this breed, you can expect to get the beauty and personality of a husky in a much smaller size. This lovable and easy-to-train breed makes for a fun dog to have around the house. 

How Big are Pomskies or Arctic Spitz Dogs?

Depending on the percentage of Pomeranian or Husky in the individual dog, Pomskies are a small to medium size dog that can come in a variety of different sizes. Their weight ranges between 7 and 38 pounds, and height between 10 and 15 inches.

So one of our full-grown Pomskies usually top out below 30 lbs pounds. They look like a Siberian husky, but don't require the care of a large dog. ... Pomsky Coat & Grooming

The Pomsky or Arctic Spitz comes in a variety of different colors, and has a double coat that is soft and fluffy. Their hair can be prone to tangles or mats, so they should be brushed at least once per week. Pomskies are also known to shed a lot, so brushing them regularly helps to remove loose hair that has been shed and lessens the amount that is spread to your clothing and furniture.

What is the Temperament/ Personality of Pomskies / Arctic Spitz?

Pomskies have great personalities and love to play and spend time with their owners. They enjoy attention and need a moderate level of activity, so daily walks and/or play time is recommended to keep them happy. Although they sometimes have too much fun playing with cats, Pomskies also generally socialize well with other pets, as well as strangers and children. Pomskies will often inherit the watchdog trait from their Pomeranian side, and the good-natured disposition of the Siberian Husky. By doing this, they quickly pick up on what you do or do not like, or what they should or should not do.
